BJC Healthcare — one of the largest healthcare organizations in the U.S — asked Integrity to develop a web-based solution for patients searching for a doctor or specialist at one of the 100 locations in greater St. Louis, mid-Missouri and southern Illinois.

Pain points

Due to the rapid growth of the healthcare organization through acquisitions, BJC needed to invest in a solution that integrated physician and location databases that originated from a myriad of sources, accounted for the lack of standardized data structure and relational data tables, and also dynamically populated results based on predetermined business rules.

In collaboration with BJC marketing and BJC Information Services, Integrity’s St. Louis web development team designed and developed a marketing website and location-based search module that included:

Content-manageable marketing pages
“Find a physician or location” directory modules based on user location and relevant search filters that includes dynamically populated addresses and office hours, different dynamically populated phone numbers for current and new patients, a provider list and suppression of offices not accepting new patients
Dynamically populated “about this location” detail pages including physician photo, specialty, contact information, bio, services provided and insurance plans accepted
